Sophie B2023-07-04 What an amazing apartment hotel! I felt so lucky to find it for my 3 weeks stay in Milan. From the time of the booking till I left, the hotel manager has been always so helpful & responsive. And she speaks great English as well as house cleaning service staffs. On my first day of arrival, she gave me a big basket of delights to welcome me, it was such a big surprise, so kind & personal. They clean the apartment everyday and provide me with fresh towels. There is even free laundry service that couldn’t make my stay any easier. The apartment itself is super cute, it has everything I would need for the stay. Most importantly, a well functioning kitchen, fridge, microwave and espresso machine. They are also so generous & providing some cookies and breakfast that I enjoyed very much every morning. Last but not least, the location is 10/10! It’s right between the tourist area and local Italian area with some neat restaurants! Thank you so much Tatiana for everything. I will never search further if I need to be in Milan again in the future. Ana A2023-06-20 Just excellent! Our stay at Monocase Milano was superb. The location is great, you can walk everywhere and there are Metro, Tram and taxi stops nearby. The apartment is beautiful and spacious. They clean it, change sheets and leave fresh towels daily. They even offered us free laundry service. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. I absolutely recommend staying here and will totally stay at Monocase in my next visit to Milan. Alexandra Nita2023-04-03 A place to recommend, for sure! It is near Duomo di Milano, like 15 mins by foot. Tatiana (the host) is great and she is always there to help you with patience. We had everything we needed and they changed the towels everyday and added the missing products daily (like water/biscuits etc). Thank you very much for everything! Patricia2022-12-18 Espectacular el apartamento. Sin duda, repetiría cuando regrese a Milan. James Caola2022-11-03 In January 2019 I became a permanent resident of Italy where I have dual citizenship. Recently, I planned a first visit to Lecce, a city in Puglia. It is a long journey by train from where I live, so I decided to break up the trip with a short 2 night stay in Milan. I searched for accommodations there and fortunately I found a unique place to stay for those two nights: Monocase Milano, an independent residence right in the heart of Milan. I often rent apartments rather than hotel rooms for longer stays, as I like to cook for myself rather than taking every meal in restaurant or bar. Finding an affordable apartment that is clean, spacious and well-stocked with the necessities but also near to the “heart” of a city can be challenge sometimes. With Monocase Milano it wasn't a problem: Corso Porta Vittoria, where it is located, is filled with stores, bars and restaurants. It’s also an important hub with transit connections for every part of the city. Monocase Milano is just a 10 minute walk from Piazza del Duomo, the true heart of Milan. Directly in front of the residence one can access the vast transport system of Milan, so even without a car, getting to locations where I didn't want to walk was simple. I was only there two nights, so I did not need to “stock” the kitchen for an extended visit, but it would have been easy to do it as there are good markets nearby. The residence has a modern, immaculately clean kitchen that was well supplied with a pod-type coffee machine and pods, breakfast cereals, preserves, snacks, and more than enough water and juices for my visit. There are plenty of dishes, silverware, pots and pans, and basic cleaning supplies already in place, so a quick visit to a nearby market would have enabled me to rapidly set up my kitchen had I needed to do so. The apartment has an independent entrance, so it feels more like a small house than an apartment. It is located in a fully enclosed courtyard with a secure, keyed entrance from the street, so during the evening, night, and early morning hours not only is it very secure, it is very quiet and insulated from the busy city just yards away. One of my favorite features of this apartment is that it creates a feeling of being a “resident” of the city. The apartment, with a classic tile floor in the bedroom/living area, has an enormous window that provides ample natural light during the day, and curtains for a sense of even greater privacy at night. There is a comfortable modern divan, an ample free-standing closet, and lots of well placed lighting options that can create whatever feeling you need, day or night, whether to work or to relax. A large LCD TV is wall-mounted on a swivel so that it can be turned easily toward the divan, the bed, or folded unobtrusively against the wall. Access to cable stations is included in the cost, and I was especially delighted to find that Netflix was programmed into it, so that I accessed my own Netflix account simply by signing in! The large comfortable bed was a great place from which to watch a film at the end my busy days there. I don’t usually dwell on hotels bathrooms, but the bathroom of this residence deserves comment: it is large and modern, and the really spacious shower is a rare and wonderful amenity here in Italy. The bathroom is well stocked with every possible toiletry that a traveler might forget to pack or run short on: soap, shampoo, razors, toothbrushes, slippers, ample plush towels, and a high power hairdryer that doesn’t force you to struggle with a pinned, powerful retractable cord. It’s all well designed for a guest’s needs, and makes one’s morning or evening bathroom routine something pleasant rather than something to be dealt with. Despite my own short stay there, I can recommend Monocase to any traveler. Whether you are a first-time or a frequent visitor to Milan, whether for a short or extended stay, it will offer comfort, convenience and safety, at an affordable price, to any visitor. Once you arrive at Milano Centrale Railway Station, you can reach the Aparthotel by Taxi or Tram. After purchasing your ticket, take Tram 9 in the direction of Porta Genova until you reach the final destination stop at Piazza 5 Giornate.
Thanks to our location, many tourist and commercial destinations can be easily and quickly reached on foot. However, walking may not be an option for everyone, and sometimes the weather doesn’t cooperate. But, thanks to a well-integrated network of public transportation, with very reasonable fares, and a variety of options suitable for almost every length of stay, Milan is one of the most easily navigable cities in the world.
There are four tram lines and two bus lines with stops right in front of the Aparthotel in Piazza 5 Giornate: Tram 9, Tram 12, Tram 19, and Tram 27, as well as buses 73 and 60.
There are two metro stations just a few hundred meters from the Aparthotel. The first, the red line number 1 at San Babila metro station, is approximately 700 meters away. The second, at the Duomo Metro station, yellow line 3, is about 900 meters away
Parking is available at a discounted rate just across the street at the Coin department store facility. The cost is only €20,00 for 24 hours, thanks to a special arrangement with Aparthotel. The parking at this facility also allows you to purchase the Area C pass for a price of €7.50, which is valid for circulating within the historical district. Access to this area is closely monitored through cameras.
Your guide
to the heart of the city
Milan has such a rich history and culture that you could live here for years and yet discover new and intriguing things to see and do. However, there are some destinations that every traveler must see at least once, regardless of whether this is your first trip or your final (just in chronological order!) in a lengthy series.
